It's hard to describe what it is.
It's saying nothing and being completely at home. It's jumping out of airplanes together. It's meeting for the first time and getting lost in conversation for hours until the bar closes. It's spending as much time as possible in the mountains with your better half. It's finding your best friend, partner-in-crime and rock.
We're getting married where we fell in love, the mountains, and we can't wait to share it with you all. We will have a quick ceremony, followed by dinner and drinks at the beautiful Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta.
5:00p – 6:00p
Dinner & Reception
Silvertip Resort is just over an hour and a half drive from Calgary (unless you drive like Caitlin and you'll be there in 30).
There is plenty of parking at Silvertip and parking is free. It's not exactly stumble distance so to make sure you all get home safe, we have arranged for free shuttles to take you home from the reception. They will take you to any hotel or residence in Canmore and will run from 10:30p-1:30a. As it is Canmore, there is no Uber or Lyft.
We spend our days surrounded by children, which is awesome... most of the time, and we love our jobs. We'd love for them to join us at the ceremony however, we want to be able to hang out with all of you so parents... if your child is young enough to be in elementary school it's your night out. Canmore is a destination for a lot of events and has plenty of great babysitters.
For all of you that are flying into Calgary and looking for transportation out to Canmore, there are many options. You're welcome to rent a sweet ride, or you can jump on a shuttle from either Banff Airporter or Brewster Banff Aiport Express.
Canmore is a beautiful town with many places to stay. We welcome you all to find a place that you are comfortable in. Should you wish to stay in any of the Clique Hotels in Canmore, please use the code ST15 for a discount.
If those doesn't fit your needs, you might also want to check out some of these options.
Canmore is an amazing area, with tons of activities and things to do. For those curious about what to do, either before, during or after the wedding may want to check out the map below. We have added some of our favourite places in Canmore (and a few in Banff). If there's something that you're curious about or wanting to do, let us know and we'll try and help you out.
On December 27, the day before the wedding, we will be skiiing at Norquay. Anyone is welcome to join but do not feel in any way obligated. It is a great hill with runs for all levels. Avoid the North American chair unless you're an advanced skier. If skiing isn't your thing or you're tired, you can go snow tubing or just hang in the lounge.
You can pick up lift tickets or passes here.
